Who we are:
The ADA project – Anti-Discrimination in the World of Work – is affiliated with the Educational Association Work and Life (DGB/VHS) eV Bremen.
ADA offers free and independent anti-discrimination advice and empowerment services for people with experiences of discrimination in Bremen and Bremerhaven and develops offers and strategies to perpetuate an anti-discrimination culture in the state of Bremen. ADA has been a member of the ADVD since 2019 and provides advice in accordance with the ADVD's advisory standards.

Who we advise
We advise people who are directly affected by discrimination in cases of discrimination in the area of work. Regardless of whether the discrimination occurs in the application process, in everyday working life, when someone is dismissed or on the way to retirement - we provide horizontal advice on all discrimination characteristics that are protected by the General Equal Treatment Act: - Gender - Religion and ideology - Disability - Age - Sexual identity - Discrimination on racist grounds We also advise works councils/staff councils, HR managers, managers, representatives and interested parties and support them in setting up complaints offices in the company in accordance with Section 13 of the General Equal Treatment Act.

Costs
This project is funded by the Senator for Labor, Social Affairs, Youth and Integration using state funds and the European Social Fund Plus. Due to public funding, all ADA offers are free of charge.
