Exchange series on structural development: Advocacy and campaign work in AD consulting

Date: 29.01.2025 at 9: 30 - 12:30 Cost: join for

“We want a campaign that suits us and our target group.”

That's easy to say, but often there is a lack of financial means for an advertising agency or simply not enough time to react to a current political development. Anti-discrimination advice centers are therefore always faced with the challenge of developing campaigns themselves. This workshop is intended to be a first aid kit for precisely this case.

Aim of the workshop

The aim of the workshop is to present and convey concrete tips for the implementation of campaigns to participants. In this way, the consultants' action competence is to be strengthened.

Speaker

Natalie Rosenke, chairwoman of the Society Against Weight Discrimination

Campaign work and political action art are the focus of her creative work. In her work, she often relies on humor and curiosity as dialogue starters for low-threshold access to complex topics such as discrimination, law and politics.

target audience

The workshop is aimed at active consultants from independent, civil society anti-discrimination advisory centers.

Online expert exchange: Strengthening state anti-discrimination laws! Exchange, strategies, networking

Six years after Berlin's State Anti-Discrimination Act (LADG) came into force, Rhineland-Palatinate has become the next German state to pass a similar law: the "State Law for Equal Opportunities, Democracy and Diversity (LCDV)." A draft law is also currently under consideration in North Rhine-Westphalia and is going through the parliamentary process. In Baden-Württemberg, however, a long-standing political process – despite a broad civil society alliance – has failed for the time being. And in Lower Saxony, an alliance for an LADG was recently formed, also supported by anti-discrimination activists. So there's a lot happening…

Service agreements are a crucial component in establishing concrete complaint structures against workplace discrimination. In this online professional exchange, we will examine the fundamentals, frequently asked questions, and challenges involved in creating and implementing service agreements for contact and complaint structures, particularly in the municipal context and public service. Using concrete practical examples, we will address key questions, such as: Which legal foundations and regulations are particularly important? How can different dimensions of discrimination – including those beyond those protected by the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) – be defined and enshrined? We will also discuss…
