Initial and referral advice in cases of discrimination
Date: 12.06.2026 at 9: 30 - 16:00 Cost: 330€

This workshop provides practical training in the fundamentals of initial consultation and referral in the context of discrimination. It is aimed at professionals and managers who are the first point of contact for discrimination issues in their daily work, for example in human resources, equality or diversity structures, employee representative bodies, or organizations in the educational, social, and cultural sectors.
The focus is on role clarity, a critical perspective on power dynamics, and a resource-oriented approach to working with those seeking advice. Participants learn to structure the concerns of those affected, clarify tasks during initial contact, and communicate their own responsibilities transparently. They also gain an overview of available support and referral services.
Typical situations encountered during initial contact will be discussed using practical examples. The workshop provides an opportunity to reflect on uncertainties in dealing with discrimination issues and to develop greater confidence in making initial contact.
