The peer case consultation takes place regularly and is an online format of the Anti-Discrimination Advisory Service of the German Anti-Discrimination Association in cooperation with the Advisory Department of the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency, the German AIDS Service Organization (Lube – Against Discrimination in Healthcare), and the Federal Office for Discrimination in Schools (FADAS). The aim is to offer professional support and promote exchange.
This session addresses legal questions concerning the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG), questions about specific cases, and challenging case scenarios from participants' own consulting practice. During the two-hour peer case consultation, selected cases and questions are discussed with consultants (one each from the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency and from civil society counseling centers). A legal classification (with regard to the AGG) is provided, and the issue and possible courses of action are addressed from a consulting perspective.
Following the case discussion, there will be time for discussion of related questions, assessments, and experiences. The next meeting will focus on: Discrimination in healthcare.
