Extrajudicial Interventions I (Complaint Letter) and Peer Case Consultation
Date: 13.11.2024 at 9: 00 - 17:00
Before the AGG came into force, anti-discrimination counseling centers and community organizations tried to support people affected by discrimination in the most creative way possible, even without taking legal action. The “Out-of-court Interventions I” module for community-based counselors provides an overview of typical interventions in anti-discrimination counseling that do not involve legal action. It looks at the involvement and collaboration with community interventions in order to develop effective and supportive measures. Participants are given a reflection framework for the use of out-of-court forms of intervention, which enables them to use interventions in a targeted manner and to critically analyze their effects. A particular focus of this module is on the introduction to the form of intervention of the complaint letter, one of the most frequently used interventions, which can be combined with other forms of intervention as required.
