Module: AGG Basics

The German Anti-Discrimination Association (advd) invites you to the project “Community-based counseling” to the module “AGG Basics” .
The following content will be covered:

  • Legal context on discrimination – international and national
  • Introduction to the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) – Contents, benefits, exercises for classifying cases, deadlines
  • Differentiation from legal services – When does advice become a legal service, and under what conditions are advisors allowed to offer it?

Target group:
The module is aimed at prospective independent consultants working in civil society counseling centers – preferably with a focus on racism and anti-racism.

Note:
This module is one of the compulsory modules as part of the Joint Certificate in Community-Based Anti-Racism Counseling (2023–2025)Therefore, consultantsinside the project partnersinside have priority in the selection.

The module is offered as part of the model project “From those affected to actors – Strengthening community-based anti-racism/anti-discrimination advisory structures (CbB)”, which is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Anti-Racism.

Digital workshop “Boundaries and resilience in AD consulting”

In this workshop, we will collaboratively develop strategies for managing stress in the field of anti-discrimination counseling in a resilient and self-protective manner, thereby enabling more professional practice.
