Module: Counseling process, referral counseling & networking

The German Anti-Discrimination Association (advd) invites you to the project “Community-based counseling” to the module “Consultation process, referral advice, networking” The following topics will be covered:

  • Overview of the consulting process
  • Methods and exercises for conducting conversations
  • Input and practical exercises for clarifying the task
  • Conversational skills for effective referral counseling
  • Establishment and development of a referral network

Target group:
The module is aimed at independent consultants in civil society counseling centers who work with discrimination cases.

Note:
This module is one of the compulsory modules as part of the Joint Certificate in Community-Based Anti-Racism Counseling (2023–2025)Therefore, consultantsinside the project partnersinside have priority in the selection.

Interested parties can apply until April 18, 2025 with this form online Send a registration request. After registration, you will receive confirmation of your participation.

In peer case consultation, participants directly apply what they have learned to their own counseling practice. This format involves discussing and reflecting on current cases from everyday counseling work. The sessions are led by an experienced expert in anti-discrimination counseling who supports participants in developing concrete courses of action, incorporating the module content.
