About the panel discussion:

Together with the authors of the publication, key findings and experiences from the advd qualification measures within the framework of the Competence Network Anti-Discrimination (KNAD) will be presented and discussed. Participants are invited to exchange ideas with the experts and ask their questions.

The event is aimed at interested parties from the higher education sector, experts in the field of anti-discrimination and anyone who would like to campaign for sustainable measures against discrimination at universities.

Six years after Berlin's State Anti-Discrimination Act (LADG) came into force, Rhineland-Palatinate has become the next German state to pass a similar law: the "State Law for Equal Opportunities, Democracy and Diversity (LCDV)." A draft law is also currently under consideration in North Rhine-Westphalia and is going through the parliamentary process. In Baden-Württemberg, however, a long-standing political process – despite a broad civil society alliance – has failed for the time being.
