Training for initial and referral counseling centers

Date: 28.02.2025 at 10: 00 - 17:00 Cost: Free

The Braunschweig Anti-Discrimination Office invites interested multipliers to a free training session for initial and referral counseling centers. The workshop will take place on February 28th from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m. at the VHS Braunschweig, Alte Waage 15.

In order to ensure low-threshold access to anti-discrimination counseling, binding initial and referral counseling structures are necessary. But how can reliable, low-threshold referral counseling be designed? What tasks and attitudes are (or are not) included? What (legal) aspects and deadlines must be observed? In this workshop, we will discuss the counseling, intervention and competence areas of qualified anti-discrimination counseling. We will look at options for (emotional) initial support for people affected by discrimination and outline together what a resource-, goal- and need-oriented referral can look like in practice.

Please register by February 21st.
